Made in a similar style to brie yet tasting very different. This organic cheese is made by Caws Cenarth in the deepest Welsh valleys using their traditional Caerffili recipe as its base, making it quite unique. Producing since 2010, it has won many awards notably a silver for best new cheese at the World Cheese Awards.
When young this is a relatively straight forward cheese displaying very mild flavour. Yet, as it matures it becomes richer & sweeter with a salty aftertaste and fantastic gooey quality that is wonderful alongside raisin bread and cox apples.
